South Carolina Bill to Create a Racing Study Commission Dies as Legislature Adjourns

SAN-supported legislation (H.B. 4242) to create the South Carolina Racing Study Commission to study how the state can encourage all forms of racing present in the state failed to pass the House Judiciary Committee and has died as the South Carolina Legislature adjourned its 2019-2020 session. The bill aimed to build upon legislation signed into law in 2018 that incentivized the construction of motorsports complexes to help pave the way for new racing facilities in the state.

Thank you to everyone who voiced support for this bill.
