Oklahoma Advances Bill to Protect Power Plant and Fuel Choice

DON’T DELAY!  Please contact lawmakers to request their support for this proposal:

Overview: Oklahoma has introduced SAN-supported legislation (S.B. 847) to ensure consumer choice of vehicle power plants and fuel by preventing a county or other local government in the state from limiting access to certain types of power sources. Under current law, sales of new gas- and diesel-powered vehicles may be threatened if narrow energy policies are adopted.

The SAN believes that Oklahoma residents, not the government, should decide what vehicles are best for them and their families. The bill has passed both chambers of the Legislature and is now pending before the Conference Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.
