New Hampshire Fails to Pass Pro-Hobby Bills

The New Hampshire legislature failed to pass SAN-supported, pro-hobby legislation in 2022 prior to the required legislative deadline. To follow is a brief summary:

  • Legislation (H.B. 1489) to allow vehicles seven or more model years old to be exempt from needing a current certificate of title to register the vehicle. The House Transportation Committee failed to advance the bill.

  • Legislation (H.B. 1426) to exempt older antique vehicles driven for private use from the state’s annual equipment inspection program. The House Transportation Committee failed to advance the bill.

  • Legislation (H.B. 1138) to authorize the owner of a motor vehicle to apply for a waiver to display a single rear-mounted license plate. The House Transportation Committee failed to advance the bill.

Thank you to everyone who voiced support for these efforts.
