UPDATE: Missouri Advances Bill to Exempt Older Vehicles from State and Local Sales Tax

Overview: Missouri has introduced SAN-supported legislation (H.B. 590) to exempt the sale of vehicles that are at least ten years old from the state and local sales tax. This bill would not apply to vehicles with a sales price of more than $25,000. Currently, no exemption from the state and local sales tax exists for vehicles that are at least ten years old. The bill passed the House committees and now awaits consideration by the full House.
