Maryland Introduces Bills Supporting Internal Combustion Engines

DON’T DELAY!  Please contact lawmakers to request their support for these proposals:

Overview: Maryland introduced SAN-supported legislation (H.B. 1247/S.B. 1063), which would prohibit the Department of the Environment from adopting California’s 2035 ban on the sale of new internal combustion engine vehicles before model year 2030.

The SAN believes Maryland families, not the government, should be allowed to choose the type of vehicle technology that best serves them and their families. S.B. 1063 will be heard by the Senate Education, Energy, and the Environment Committee on March 5th and H.B. 1247 will be heard by the House Environment and Transportation Committee on March 8th.
