Iowa Introduces Bill to Protect Power Plant and Fuel Choice

DON’T DELAY!  Please contact lawmakers to request their support for this proposal:

Overview: Iowa has introduced SAN-supported legislation (S.F. 411) to ensure consumer choice of vehicle power plants and fuel by preventing a county or city in the state from limiting access to certain types of power sources. Under current law, sales of new gas- and diesel-powered vehicles may be threatened if narrow energy policies are adopted.

The SAN believes that Iowa residents, not the government, should decide what vehicles are best for them and their families. The bill passed the Senate Commerce Committee, which now awaits consideration on the Senate floor.
