DON’T DELAY! Please contact the members of the Public Safety & Homeland Security Committee to request support for H.B. 31:
- H.B. 31 Changes the Street Rod definition from vehicles manufactured pre-1970 to vehicles 25 years or older to be in line with the same age requirements used for antique motor vehicles.
H.B. 31 Removes the requirement that a Street Rod’s tires must be covered by a fender recognizing that historically Street Rods are often open-wheeled vehicles.
H.B. 31 Exempts Street Rods from any equipment requirements that were not a condition of sale when the vehicle was manufactured.
Overview: Legislation (H.B. 31) has been introduced that would ease the process of registering a Street Rod in Delaware by changing age and equipment requirements. The bill is currently awaiting consideration in the House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee.
