Province of Saskatchewan Proclaims July 2019 as “Automotive Heritage Month”
Thanks to the efforts of the National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada (NAACC), Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport Gene Makowsky announced that the month of July is being declared “Automotive Heritage Month” once again in Saskatchewan. This special occasion is held concurrently with “Collector Car Appreciation Day” (CCAD). Since 2010, the U.S. Congress has introduced resolutions at the request of the SEMA Action Network (SAN) to acknowledge CCAD, which serves to raise awareness of the vital role automotive restoration and collection plays in American society. This year’s celebration is scheduled for Friday, July 12th.
In the previous nine years, thousands of enthusiasts in the U.S and Canada have gathered at car cruises, parades, and other events to celebrate the automotive heritage of each nation. By taking part in events around their country, these automotive enthusiasts and related businesses have ensured that their passion was honored and recognized.
Make your plans to get involved. Individuals, car clubs and business owners have been officially registering their gatherings for inclusion on the SAN website. Please pay tribute to our hobby’s special day by holding or attending a celebration near you. Encourage others to follow suit. Let’s get those cars and trucks out of the garage and onto the road!
Please submit the details of your celebration. For questions, contact SAN Director Colby Martin at 909-978-6721 or firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also download the official logo and flyer from the CCAD homepage and help promote this special day.
