Missouri Legislature Adjourns

Several SAN-supported bills died as the Missouri legislature adjourned its 2020 legislative session. To follow is a brief summary:

  • Legislation (S.B. 887) to allow all vehicles 25 years old and older to display year of manufacture license plates failed to pass the Senate Transportation, Infrastructure and Public Safety Committee. Current law limits the display of such plates to vehicles registered as historic.

  • Legislation (H.B. 1562) to allow historic vehicles to be issued license plates without an annual mileage restriction failed to pass the House Transportation Committee. Current law limits historic vehicle owners to 1,000 miles of driving for personal use per year.

Thank you to everyone who voiced support for these bills.
